Happy First Day of Spring!

Spring is a magical time in nature, a season of renewal and transformation. As we grow and evolve so does the nature around us and we love it!! Don't be fooled, we love all the seasons for their unique magic but spring brings new life to our beautiful forest that we absolutely love to explore.

Happy First Day of Spring everyone!

We asked all of the facilitators and office staff to share their favorite thing about spring with you and this is what they said:

Amanda -

My favourite part is playing in the puddles when it's still slushy

Véronique -

My favourite part is the nature awakening on the forest floor and the puddles!!

Stefany -

My favourite parts are the signs of sprouting (flowering trees & plants showing growth), the smell of melting, and a bright sun no longer equals -20, but actual warmer air.

Laura -

My favorite part is how the maples sap starts flowing announcing spring! And the maple syrup of course.

Pascale -

My favorite thing about spring is how every tiny reflection of warm sunlight on the thawing landscape feels like a gentle tug from nature, nudging us awake from a deep wintery slumber— a soft ‘Rise and shine’ in Mother Nature’s language.

Natasha -

My favourite (and also least favourite) thing about the spring is the mud! The play it creates is unmatched (as well as the laundry)

Amy -

My favourite part is the smell of spring rain!

Zac -

My favourite part is all the different sounds that we don't get hear during the winter as much. And being able to shed all the winter clothes for spring clothing.(hoodie weather!!)

We would love to know, what is your favorite thing about spring? Answer in the comments.

We want to acknowledge that we play, learn & explore on the stolen lands and unceeded Anishinabewaki territory of the Anishinaabe people; and the lands of the Omamiwininiwag (Algonquin) people and Kanien'kehá:ka (Mohawk) people of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy of six nations.

We offer an inclusive space by honoring everyone’s unique being, their race, their individual beliefs, language, religion & gender identities & fluidities. We honor our human peer’s pronouns and consistently respect & use them. We extend love to all our living relations by fully respecting all individual needs without judgment.
