A Forest Gathering to Welcome the Light

As winter begins to stretch its longest night, this event provides a peaceful space to gather outdoors with loved ones. Participants will embark on a short walk into the forest to reach a lantern-lit gathering spot, creating an atmosphere of wonder and connection with the season.

Once there, you can look forward to:

  • 🔥 A cozy outdoor fire — perfect for warmth and conversation

  • 🎶 Seasonal music to set a reflective, festive mood

  • Warm drinks, stories, and community intentions for the year ahead

  • Mindful celebration of the subtle lengthening of daylight ahead

This isn’t just an event — it’s a moment to pause with community, reflect on the year past, and simply enjoy the serenity of nature.

🧡 What to Bring

To make the most of this magical evening, consider bringing:

  • Cash – there will be vendors selling hot drinks and treats

  • Warm layers – winter in the woods can be chilly

  • Friends and family – the more, the merrier!

Arriving 10–15 minutes early is encouraged so everyone can walk into the forest together and begin the event as a community. And if you’re running late? No worries — simply follow the park maps and star-marked signs to join in.

We offer an inclusive space by honoring everyone’s unique being, their race, their individual beliefs, language, religion & gender identities & fluidities. We honor our human peer’s pronouns and consistently respect & use them. We extend love to all our living relations by fully respecting all individual needs without judgment.
