Our beautiful hot summer is coming to an end and with it we welcome fall with it's cooler nights, beautiful colours and new lessons to learn about change. For families whose little ones attend forest or nature school, fall isnāt just a season ā itās a classroom, a playground, and a source of endless inspiration.
A Living Lesson in Change
The Fall season is a teacher by itself. Every falling leaf and migrating bird tells a story of transition that we encourage to embrace with open arms.
Each day we spend in the forest becomes an immersive science lesson, an invitation to wonder, and a gentle reminder that change is natural and beautiful. And perhaps most importantly, they feelĀ it, in a way no textbook could ever replicate.
Building Resilience, One Muddy Boot at a Time
Parents often ask, āBut what about the weather?" This is your opportunity to learn to dress for anything as we head into cool mornings and warm afternoons layering is your best friend.
The children learn that a little rain doesnāt stop the fun. That chilly fingers warm up by the fire and learning to adapt throughout the day is a skill in itself to be proud of.
At The End of The Perfect Fall Day
Fall asks us all to slow down, to be present, to let go. Just as the trees shed what they no longer need, we too can release the rush, the clutter, the pressure to do it all. Our children lead the way, grounded in the present, guided by curiosity.
We hope to see your children this fall in one of our sessions to explore our new (but temporary) forest and nature school location at Lavigne Forest in Bourget, ON.
